With the Children’s Climate Change Conference 2015 due next week, we hear that corporate companies are locked in a sponsorship battle on naming rights.
Word coming through indicates that National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), National Forest Authority (NFA) and Vivo Energy Uganda, partnered with Uganda Little Hands Go Green,
with hope of being flagship sponsors.
With the conference due on April 22, at Kampala Sheraton Hotel, organizer Joseph Masembe hadn’t pronounced himself on the matter, which brought about friction among the companies involved in forest conservation!
Our moles tell us that Masembe is caught between a rock and a hard place and has to pronounce himself on the matter before this weekend elapses. Speculation is however rife that he is likely to favour Vivo Energy Uganda above the rest!
State Minister for Youth & Children Affairs Evelyn Anite and Donal Cronin, the Irish Ambassador to Uganda are likely guest speakers.
