Mbarara based singer Ivory Namara, could be packing her bags as you read this. The singer is reeling from the unexpected “maloo” she received from city dwellers as she promoted her new song around the city.
Kampala can’t seem to get enough of girls hailing from the land of milk and honey for reasons various to many. Despite exporting Anita Fabiola and Judith Heard, for unknown reasons our brains have failed to precipitate names like Lady Mariam and Sister Charity ( …how do they even come up with such stage names).
New songbird on the scene, Ivory Namara could be headed for a more glamorous memory in our minds after her short visit to our dusty metropolis. The 22 year old singer was swarmed by dozens of excited artistes both established and struggling for collaboration. She is said to have recorded tens of songs by night as she premiered her single “Kings and queens” on local radios by day. Sources intimated to us that she is considering relocating to the city after the massive reception. Some sharp Kampala fellows have already volunteered to act as house brokers for the singer and teach her a few things about the city like how to live on Rolex instead of eshabwe and ekishanga.
The sweet voiced singer boosts of a massive potential that the she could challenge herself to in our city. The sun will shine on new developments of this rural urban migration.
