A new artist under the stage name, Ray G Rhiganz is out to discredit Allan Toniks. After releasing the video to his new song, Mureebe, a song that has garnered such massive attention on social media platforms and music platforms like YouTube, he feels he is better than his village mate, Toniks.
”There is no beef with Tonix, I respect him as a fellow artist. But when it comes to kitara, I am the king and even Tonix knows that. People will say Tonix has won this and that but none of his Runyankore songs hit the way mine hit back at home” a furious Ray G said in a recent interview.
That the upcoming artist is spewing malice to a fading artist insinuates that both might stay in the drains, but mostly, that Tonix is indeed, becoming a wasted talent. His career seems to be on downward spiral as even recently, his newly appointed manager, Brian Ahumuza of the Abryanz Collection fashion brand, was rumored to have ditched him after realizing that their business relationship wasn’t yielding. Yet, his village mate and fellow musician, Ray G, has come out to publically expose how he doesn’t have fans even in his home town in the west.
“If he can’t command the crowd at home the way I do, then he is irrelevant as an artist this side. They should stop comparing him to me because my songs like, Enshazi, Amarali, Nokigambahoki et al, dominate the play lists of Dj’s in all the popular nightspots in Mbarara and the radio stations in the east. “ said Ray G Rhiganz when called about his beef with Toniks.
