Just when you thought that singers like Cindy Sanyu didn’t have political opinion, then boom! The singer went on her social media to thank Ugandans for voting wisely and in peace and also urged them to accept the outcome of the election and just focus on maintaining peace created and maintained by President Museveni.
She wrote; “I’m happy that the elections were peaceful and even after. I’m happy to see how concerned the authorities are about security. Now that the voting is done let’s all accept the results and work with whoever won. There’s no other way around it.”
This an unlikely attempt by Cindy to form an alliance with the government that will not be treated lightly by Bebe Cool who is the unofficial mediator between government and artistes.
Cindy also wrote about how excited she is to take her daughter to school in peace and not watch her live in fear.
