The pressure is on at the revamped NBS Television in Kamwokya on who is the real face of the station.
Information coming in from the station is that Morning Show co-hosts Doreen Komuhangi and Mildred Tuhaise are secretly beefing after the former went down the list of favourites in the TV’s pecking order.
A source confirms to our moles that Mildred Tuhaise, who was head-hunted from WBS TV, is the most favoured and praised member of staff. To Doreen Komuhangi, who only returned from a maternity leave, it was a snub she hasn’t stomached easily. “They don’t see eye-to-eye and are quietly engaged in competition. I wouldn’t be shocked if they jeer and eye-ball each other outside studio,” an insider told us.
The source reveals that whereas Komuhangi has been at the station longest, she has never been the most confident of figures and has a reputation of haplessness. On the other hand, Mildred comes offas a natural and doesn’t sweat while at it. Mildred recently headed the team that was covering the Presidential Elections.
Doreen was just relegated to reading news at 9pm. When we reached out to Komuhangi, she said, “this is her (Mildred’s) time to shine. I had mine. I have no problem with her.”
