According to a trusted source at NBS, Kats went job searching at the station. “He had been frequenting Karisa’s office with proposals and big talk to turns things around as regards matters of entertainment,” says a source
The source further reveals that although Kats’ CV reeks of success, let alone an experience of about a decade, joining the station was no easy thing. “Initially Kats proposed that he can do better than Tuf B (Robert Sebidde) of the KUT weekend show. The sponsors (advertisers) rejected the idea to ditch him for Kats and threatened to withdraw their sponsorship. It is then that they opted for a daily show dubbed after 5 which also saw a program formerly presented by Tuff B scrapped. It took the influence of Green festival’s Joseph Masembe to secure the slot for Kats. It is him that lured advertisers to endorse Kats for the new show,” a source dishes to us.
