The hooliganism of Express FC fans is legendary, what with bans and all. The fans maintained the same attitude at the Kavumba Recreation Centre after their draw with Soana FC on Tuesday.
That Express scored a late equalizer did not seem to go well with stadium management/security. When the game ended, one of the guards refused to open the small gate used by visiting fans.
The Express fans could only wait for less than two minutes to start fracas. “You cannot put an Express fan down,” one shouted. “We have our way and no one touches us,” another responded. As many looked on, a hole had appeared in the fence, and the hinges had been torn from the ground.
