There is something about events at National Theatre that just keeps interesting the white population in Uganda. Unlike other pompous events like Blankets and Wine that are filled with socialites and people who go there for validation, National Theatre attracts a normal audience. Well, normal enough for a good part of the audience not to afford taxi fares. Yet the Bazungu flock the events there and fit ever so comfortably in. Last weekend was the End of The Weak rap concert at National Theatre and they showed up in droves. And they seemed happy, even when most of the performances were in Luga Flow and therefore unfathomable.
