The Tula Ku Mukeka Fiesta just got a boost. Musician, Maddox Sematimba and Afrigo band have been unveiled as the headliners for this year’s debut show. It is slated to take place on October 1st (Independence day) at the Uganda Museum.
Both musicians will have live performances in what promises to a show of a lifetime. According to the organizers, the show is aimed at promoting local culture and resurrecting vintage music.
“This is the first time we’re organizing this event, but it will be happening annually. Party goers should look up for a new experience We are bringing something fresh on the social calendars. People should come with their mats in respect of the theme,” Robert Sekidde, one of the organizers explained.
The show is also expected to be graced by surprise acts from Kenya and Tanzania. Maddox has certainly been prominent on the Ugandan charts lately. In what seems like a battle between two legendary music acts, fans can only start warming up.
