Vocalist Ronald Magada alias Maro’s 2016 wasn’t rosy. And we haven’t heard anything neck-turning from him in a while, especially since the famous Kamboyine hit. That, however, is about to change. Our sources at the Bantu Pro Uganda studio intimated to us that the self-proclaimed RnB Kyabazinga hit the studio and recorded a new song with the Bantu Clan.
The song, dubbed Dance With Me, whose video shoot is already in progress is projected to propel Maro and the Bantu Clan musical artistes back into the limelight. The song has evoked such anticipation on several local social media platforms essentially because it was penned by 3 minds; the adroit Bantu Clan writers; Buka Chimey and Kendie Kudzie (a Zimbabwean vocalist), together with Maro. The Audio, too, has made it’s producer; Rasto Pro of Bantu Pro Uganda the talk of town with several media reviews already in praise of the artistry in the instrumentation and arrangement.
But it is the video shot by Meddie Menz of Mirage concept that drew our attention, especially because costume designer Ras Kasozi of Kas Wear spewed praise for it.
“This time we wanted to show the power in a video costumed by a fashion label verses a boutique. We had to listen to the song (Dance with me)and design outfits in a collection form that suits each artist’s original identity. Kas Wear we always believe in promoting the art of,” he recently bragged.
