UAP Old Mutual Insurance treated its staff to an epic team building experience that was carried out at Adonai paint ball Adventures.
The session was code named the ‘’shorts and sneakers’’ party. It was inevitably noticeable on sight of staff members who were clad in unique trendy designer shorts and sneakers.
Divided in five groups namely Team Innovation, Integrity, Respect, Focus and Accountability, which are the values the organization upholds, the teams participated in paintball shooting, moving carpet, water balloon, tire driving among others and the team that emerged the day’s winner was Team integrity.
In a brief but precise speech, the managing director David Kuria encouraged them to replicate the relentless winning spirit and passion that they exhibited during the games across all aspects of life including work routines since these attributes are part of the key success factors at whatever stage of life one would be.
He also rewarded and recognized the upcountry managers for their great contribution to the business.
Deborah Maitum the human resource and administration manager who was the event host expressed gratitude to the synergies among other traits that the teams exhibited and was humbled by the staff’s trade of their family time for the given Saturday to merry make with colleagues.
Allan Kyambadde the chief finance officer passionately urged the entire team to extend the energy expressed during the games to their daily work operations as it would momentously culminate to gradual organizational growth. He further dramatized the message through leading of a series of traditional dances from all parts of the country that ignited the dance antics of the whole team.
At the peak of the party, the teams had a dancing competition alongside lots of drinks, barbeque and other fun events. One can confidently say that it was a worthwhile weekend that everyone enjoyed and all are eager for the next session.
