KCCA arrived in Port Harcourt on Sunday ahead of their match day 4 clash with Nigerian side Rivers United in the 2017 CAF Confederations cup.
KCCA, currently second in Group A defeated Rivers United in the reverse fixture at the Phillip Omondi stadium on June 3 and will take to the pitch the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, Nigeria tomorrow (Tuesday).
If word we are getting from Port Harcourt is anything to go by, the pampered KCCA stars should be able to get an away result tomorrow. They are housed at the Novotel Hotel and Resort.
Preliminary images we saw of the hotel show that the players are sharing rooms, but it is the least of their worries as the environment is serene and has afforded the players relaxation time.
“We need to play for a result, a draw would be good enough for us but if a win came then we will celebrate it more and build on that” KCCA’s captain Dennis Okot emphasized
The first and runners-up of the group will advance to the knock out stage of the championships
The Squad that travelled to Nigeria includes: Benjamin Ochan, Denis Okot, Timothy Awany, Paul Musamali, Bukenya Lawrence, Isaac Muleme, Vincent Kayizzi, Muzamir Mutyaba, Tom Masiko, Derrick Nsibambi, Geoffrey Sserunkuuma, Douglas Kisembo (GK), Habib Kavuma, Denis Rukundo, Paul Mucureezi, Ivan Ntege, Allan Okello, Julius Poloto.
