A big feud has erupted between Entebbe Divisional Police Commander (DPC), Godfrey Ninsiima and his junior officer Edward Kandimu, the head of Entebbe police Tourism Department.
The war broke out after Kandimu arrested DPC’s blue eyed boy Philip Musasizi, a crime preventer who was dragged to police by his Landlord Vincent Saabera for assaulting him for demanding rent arrears (Sh 400,000) for his house in Mpala zone, Katabi Town council
Sources at Entebbe police reveal that upon arresting Musasizi the DPC ordered Kandimu not to record any statement from his blue eyed boy and close the file which he(Kandimu) defied prompting the DPC to detain him for a day before granting him police bond.
During a security meeting that was organized a week ago by IGP Kale Kayihura at Katabi Town Council Hall, Kandimu reported his boss Ninsiima to Kayihura who tasked the DPC to defend himself. In his defense, DPC Ninsiima told IGP Kayihura that Kandimu arrested Musasizi from his office without telling him the case he was being arrested for.
Later Kayihura instructed the commander of police Professional standard Unit, Joel Aguma to investigate DPC Ninsiima and give him (Kayihura) a report that he shall present himself back to the complainants before he makes any decision.
