Onduparaka Football club captain, Muhammed Shaban has bid farewell to the club that thrust him into the limelight.
He released an emotional statement for the fans, fellow players and team officials ahead of his proposed move to South African giants Super Sport United.
Yes they have being (sic) complications about me and club board members thanks to the Almighty Allah that everything has come to past (sic)now.
About everything yes I had got a lot of offers. So saying Shaban has no offers was not real true about the captaincy issue.
The club knew I would be leaving saying I had got offers already. I was very happy for Toha being named after me he is the real person who can guide the boys off and on pitch he has always being a leader so it was a good decision for me. So, my apology goes to all Onduparaka fans and everybody out there who have being lately affected over the gossip which has being going over my future. So am asking for prayers for me and my brother Toha who will be leaving with me probably next week”
He was the club top scorer of the season. He was replaced by Rashid Toha as captain with Gasper Adriko as vice-captain.
