The hearing of a case in which Ivan Kamyuka,33, is accused of allegedly murdering Johnnie Ahimbisbwe at Club Guvnor in 2015 has flopped today due to absence of key witnesses.

High Court had anticipated that Kamyuka’s fiancee, who was also injured in the scuffle, would appear by video link from Sweden, to present her evidence before the court but the connection failed.

Kamyuka allegedly stabbed Ahimbisibwe to death with a broken glass on August 2, 2015, accusing him of assaulting his girlfriend Nina Nyarwaha, with whom the deceased has a son.
High Court had anticipated that Nyarwaha, who was also injured in the scuffle, would appear by video link from Sweden, to present her evidence before the court but the connection failed.

Following the anomaly, defence lawyer Henry Kunya asked court presided over by Justice Wilson Kwesiga to adjourn the case until Nyarwaha returns to Uganda on October 18, 2017.
Kamyuka was committed to the High Court On September 11, 2015, by Nakawa Grade One Magistrate, Christine Nantege.
He was later granted a Shs5m cash bail granted warranting him to report to the deputy registrar twice in a month.
