Lubowa Police has intensified a search lesbian believed to be part of a wider group involved in the recruitment of unsuspecting youth into the vice.
In what is turning out into a case of the hunter being hunted in the town on Entebbe Road in Wakiso District, the Kampala Sun has learnt that the search for 28-year-old Nakyejwe Joan Erina, a student, comes after she lodged a rape case against a guardian.
Shaban Okello the Officer in Charge (OC) of Lubowa Police Station in Wakiso District reveals that it all started when Nakyejwe reported a case of rape vide police file 20/30/12/2016 which prompted the arrest of a suspect.
“We arrested the suspect and detained him for a few days. We were however shocked when he revealed that the alleged victim Joan, who was under his care, was a lesbian who co-ordinated a group of young girls into the act.
“We got intelligence about the secret activity and embarked on investigations. The main suspect, Nakyejwe has since disappeared with her daughter. It is highly likely that she fled the country and we are asking whoever can volunteer information on her whereabouts to come forward so we can charge her,” Okello says. Neighbours describe Nakyejwe as a loner and are not shocked by the police claims.
