Francis Ekalungar, an accountant at Case Clinic in Kampala, who was reported missing on Tuesday has been discovered dead in Kajjansi, a Kampala surburb.
Ekalungar was also found burnt to death with car tyres, police said.
Police believe Ekalungar, who was last seen leaving Case Clinic driving in his Premio car, was kidnapped and tortured by unknown assailants.
The deceased has also been the chairman of Uganda Umpires and Cricket Association and has officiated at several international cricket matches. Ekalungar’s body was by press time at Mulago hospital awaiting post-mortem.
