Uganda Rugby Cranes 15s and 7s player who is currently in Kenya with Kabras Sugars rugby club won the first ticket to watch the FIFA World Cup live in Russia. Pius Ogena who is among the team in camp preparing for the forthcoming Rugby Sevens World Cup will have this trip as a loyalty reward for drinking Nile Special, the official sponsor of rugby national side. Together with his teammates and Union boss, Andrew Owor, Ogena tried his luck and won after sending a code twice. “I actually joked with Philip (Wokorach) that I am winning the ticket and he laughed at me. However, that did not stop me to try my luck,”
Ogena told Kampala Sun after securing the trip. Other lucky nine winners will join Ogena to watch games starting with quarter finals according to Nile Special brand manager Isaac Sekasi. “The search is one for our next lucky nine winners who will enjoy a fully paid for trip to Russia and watch the best teams out of the group stages fighting for bragging rights at the world’s biggest soccer stage.” Apart from the free beer and bites at the invites only event at Nile Breweries Limited headquarters in Luzira, team Germany won themselves Uganda Cranes jerseys after defeating team Brazil in a trivia challenge which had both questions and penalty shootouts.
