Heathens coach Muhammad Athio after missing out on the Uganda cup believes his boys must step up their game and defend their league title.
“The players are mature enough and must step up their game if we are to win this league. Pirates with a host of young blood have proved that they are a power and their target is winning the league,” Athio Stated.

Athio’s call comes after what he saw in the Uganda cup final when he lost to Pirates despite assembling all the experienced old guards.
Roland Bahendeka, Bishop Onen, Arthur Mukama, Alex Mubiru, Raymond Ssembajjwe and Romano Ogwal had all the experience required, but they were not fit enough to match the running game Pirates put up.

Pirates coach Bobby Musinguzi is confident that his charges can win this year’s league and he says, “Winning Uganda cup is a sign that we can win the league and we are going for it.”
