Last evening (Thursday) was a milestone in the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards when tycoon Jack Pemba of Pemba Sports Africa handed over sh100m in cash to Brian Ahumuza ahead of the awards slated for December.
The event at the Kampala Serena Hotel Victoria Gallery was witnessed by a section of influential media and fashionistas who were treated to ciroc cocktails before being ushered to a sitting arrangement with customized tables.

At around 8:30pm, the agenda of the night was set rolling with MC of the night Keith Karuhura introducing the proprietors of both franchises. It was when Jack Pemba walked in with his stash of cash that the real excitement set in. He wasted no time in detailing how he’d fallen in love with Ugandan fashion.

” I have always supported local talent. My company Pemba Sports Academy has always supported sports, music entertainment and various charities. However, lately, i am excited about my venture into fashion and partnering with the ASFAs is a dream come true. I am excited to announce that i have invested sh100m in the organization of the ASFAs and i due course, i will increase on the offer,” Pemba said and handed over the money amid chants and numerous camera flashes.

An elated Brian Ahumuza who was visibly elated at the amount of cash doled to him expressed his gratitude towards Pemba Sports Academy.
” We are excited that Pemba is sponsoring the awards. As usual we strive to be better every year. That someonne has come out to offer a helping hand says alot about our work. I want to thank Pemba for sponsoring our awards. I also commend him for putting his money in the right place,” he said.
