Following the resignation of URA FC coach Paul Nkata after the 7-2 mauling at the hands of KCCA, URA FC has moved to replace him with veteran coach Sam Simbwa, who takes over as caretaker manager.
Nkata was with URA for only four months before he threw in the towel on Tuesday.
Ian Rumanyika, the Director Communications-URA confirmed the news to Kampala Sun.
“The URA FC Board sitting today 26th April 2018, has appointed Sam Simbwa Bamweyana to guide the team up to the end of the season. We warmly welcome Sam and believe he has all the expertise necessary to lead a team of champions. URA FC would like to thank the fans, media and URA management for the unwavering support at all times,” he said.
Rumanyika reveals that over the years, URA FC has endeavoured to build a winning team. “ Just like our tagline: One Team One Dream, this is the time the team needs all the support necessary from our beloved fans and we pledge all that is required to keep this dream alive,” he concluded
