The award winning actress Nordyn Evanci has survived a nasty accident that left many injured and in pain in Bombo.
‘The forbidden’ movie actress was travelling with her director Samuel Kizito from Gulu on Thursday night after shooting their upcoming movie.
According to Kizito, an over speeding Gaaga bus was overtaking a slower bigger vehicle before it crashed.
“We set off by 11 p.m and by 4 a.m we were in Bombo all deep asleep just to be woken up by a huge hit, the bus driver was trying to overtake a seemingly slower bigger vehicle and ended up crashing into it then he suddenly took off and left the bus which momentarily reversed itself down the hill till it found a resting spot,” he narrated.
Although the number of injured people hasn’t been verified as yet, Kizito added that quit a number of them were screaming for help as they bled.
“Luckily we had sat in the last seats at the back so all we got was a little jerk back and forth as the bus searched its way backwards till it eventually went to rest, people scrambled to get up to exit the bus but all was in vain so we had to be patient to wait for the people at the front to exit,
“Coming towards the front is when I realized the bus had been halfway crashed beyond recognition and on looking outside is when I realized many have got injuries, broken bones and blood all over, we managed to exit the bus and stood outside all confused of where to go other than hearing screams and crying from all angles, it was a terrible moment watching all this live, the wounded and the crashed bus,” he added.
News however reaching our desk is that the two are now safe and sound as they were offered another bus to continue with their journey to Kampala.
