No UPDF Officer Involved In Nansana Accident – UPDF Spokesperson

The UPDF has come out to deny reports that a senior officer was involved in murder over a road rage incident early this morning.
UPDF Spokesperson, Brig Richard Kareire has revealed that there is no UPDF officer or vehicle that was involved in an accident today morning in Nansana, Wakiso district.

Taking to his twitter handle, Karemire said that; “No #UPDF personnel or vehicle got involved in an accident in Nansana this morning as is circulating on social media. Land Cruiser UAM 617D driven by civilian Gerard Kayondo is the one that was involved. Details with Police.”

Earlier today, news circulated on social media that a UPDF officer hit a taxi driver with a hoe after the later knocked the car of the former.

Eyewitnesses reveal that the Taxi driver accidentally knocked a UPDF officer’s Prado.

Upon the knock, the UPDF officer got a hoe from his car and hit it on the head of the Taxi driver.

At this stage, tempers flared and the residents decided to torch the UPDF officer’s car.
Police has already been deployed to calm the situation down and traffic flow has also returned to normal.
