One of the biggest events on Kampala’s social slayers calendar Blankets and Wine is back for another edition come 30 September 2018 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
We have come to learn that the South African music duo Destruction Boyz has been confirmed as the headline act for the 20th edition of the picnic-style music festival.
The South African music duo was freshly nominated for the category of Best International Act at this year’s BET Awards show in Los Angeles, California and has proven a big hit with their chart buster “Omunye”.
The duo from Durban, South Africa consists of recording artists and record producers Thobani “Que” Mgobhozi and Zipho “Goldmax” Mthembu. Gqom is a type of dance music, and it has no better ambassadors than the Distruction Boyz, whose debut album “Gqom Is the Future” has sold over 500,000 copies.
Afro-fusion music lovers in Uganda can start to polish their dancing shoes as the Blankets & Wine organizers have now confirmed the duo will be performing live at the Cricket Oval alongside our own Ykee Benda and a host other local artistes.
