‘Lover boy’ Brian Isiko Granted Bail

Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Stella Amabirisi has granted bail to Brian Isiko, 25, who is accused of sending love messages to the Kabarole district woman MP Sylvia Rwabwogo.

The development comes a day after High Court judge Jane Francis Abodo ordered retrial of the case before a different magistrate, and cancelled the two year sentence.
The High Court judge, who ruled that Kamasanyu had wrongly convicted the suspect, ordered that the charges and ingredients of the offenses ought to be explained in a language that Isiko best understands.
On Friday, Isiko was charged afresh with Cyber Harassment and Offensive Communication.

He denied the offences and through his layers, asked to be released on bail.

Magistrate Amabirisi granted Isiko a Sh1million cash bail and adjourned the case to 29th October 2018 for hearing.

Isiko is said to have spent the months of November 2017 and June 2018 sending repetitive love messages to MP Rwabwogo whose telephone contact he accessed from the parliamentary website.
