OVER THE WEEKEND ON Saturday, Busabala Road was the Avenue every music fan took to be part of Kyarenga concert held at One love beach in Busabala that had escalated antagonism among people some saying the concert was not to take place while others believed it had to occur but under tight restrictions.
The long awaited Kyarenga Concert finally came to pass. I think the line for the biggest concert of the year has been drawn. Hundreds and Thousands of people flooded One Love beach, Busabala to watch Bobi Wine make History. All- day, the dusty road with its pot-holes was seen entirely busy, suffocated with traffic jam, a rare situation experienced along the road.
The concert featured varuious local artiste who were seen unsatisfied due to limited time given to them. At least for the first time, H.E Bobi Wine for the first time appreciated and recognized the services rendered by both the Uganda police and Army, saying they have been humanitarian as they did not brutalize his people(fans).
Artists including Eddy Kenzo supported the event, giving some of the best entertainment on earth. The crowds all dressed in something red, some of which were being sold at the venue of the concert. The beach was filled to capacity with the young, and old, regardless of profession. Should we say this is the evidence we have been waiting for, that Bobi Wine is a true inspiration?
Bobi Wine finally cautioned youths to ensure they possess National IDs before 2021 as the only avenue to experience a political wave of change by participating actively in the election exercise.
