Singer Bebe Cool does not subscribe to the idea of upcoming artistes working with established ones arguing that they need to work on their own first. “I discourage small artistes from collaborating with big artistes because all the songs they will release afterwards will not get to become big songs,” he says.
He advised them to build their careers step by step and also record with those artistes at their level and in between as they get to the point of working with the big artistes like him.
Bebe Cool recently released a new song and video titled “wasibukawa” shot in the US and he says, the industry needed to get away from the politics it had been entangled in for the last 12 months. He adds that 90% of the artistes are not interested in politics but they are dragged there by those who can nolonger sustain their music careers.
