Whereas a number of women, feminists mostly, have openly rejected the miss curvy contest, Sheebah Karungi has come out to endorse it.
While appearing on a local station yesterday, Sheebah revealed that the miss curvy pageant is a good project that will empower women.
“I am a strong advocate for women empowerment and I love strong and confident ladies. This contest will make women stronger,” she said.
Godfrey Kiwanda, the Minister for tourism has since been under fire since he launched the pageant. Kiwanda has however not been fazed by the criticism going his way. He believes the pageant will boost the tourism industry.
