With two months left to the 2019 Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England, She Cranes would be key priority when it comes to accessing the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
However, the caretakers of the only national indoor facility, National Council of Sports are between a hard place and a rock as they received money for other stakeholders till the last day of this month.
Going by the notice pinned on their notice board, netball has no business with the Arena a thing that has seen the African champions opt for an adjacent facility, Lugogo Hockey Grounds at the moment.
“Government has to end this misery. We need our own home to try out everything. Not this business of giving us minutes,” She Cranes head coach Kiwanuka noted after being kicked out to allow smooth preparations for the forthcoming Uganda Para-Badminton International 2019 due 21st this month.
As you read this, the team is training outdoors under the scorching sun something that will affect them being that the tournament will be played under chilly conditions plus, the surface they are trying their drills on is a disadvantage.
