Capt Mike Mukula has cautioned musicians not to mix their art and politics

The newly elected patron for artistes under their umbrella Uganda Musician Association (UMA) Captain Mike Mukula has cautioned artistes not to mix music in politics.

Mukula’s advice comes after a bitter exchange with Jose Chameleone on social media when he asked the legendary singer to steer away from politics.

He appealed to them to let each side be independent, as this will leave the industry more stable, enjoyable and productive.

Mike Mukula was mandated patron of the artiste association after recognizing his services offered to the music industry including offering a house where lucky singers have shot their videos.

The mandated patron first offered his Bugolobi based mansion to Radio, Weasel and Rabadaba in their video titled Ability, Bebe cool in lonely and now recently were the B2C soldiers featuring Rema in Gutujja, which could be the reason why he was appointed patron.
