Lord mayor Erias Lukwago who is one of events promoter, Bajjo’s lawyers has said Tuesday was a long day full of frustration but they won’t give up.
According to him, on Tuesday they had to hop from Special Investigations Unit in Kireka, where they spent the whole day to Nakawa where they checked through the files and then to Buganda road where nobody could interprete the meaning of “offensive communication.”
“The whole day was full of drama. We started at SIU in Kireka, where they told us it will be in Nakawa, we waited and checked through the file and his wasn’t there. We went back to Kireka and then they told us it was in Buganda road and when how we got here there was no file,” he explains.
According to Abitex, Bajjo who had earlier pleaded guilty to the “offensive communication” charge did it because of torture that he has gone through. This argument goes against the reports that Bajjo was remanded because he didn’t have an interpreter to help him understand English.
