UK-Ugandan dance hall artiste George Wildive is among a few musicians in diaspora working tireless to uplift our Ugandan flag in the foreign entertainment circuit.
He is spotted representing Uganda on most of the big concerts abroad.
His luck or contribution to the industry seem to have no boundary as the singer is now looking onto big things.
Latest from North Pole music camp, which is the singer’s music label, indicates that he is an entertainment nominee for Best Vocal artiste in Starqt Awards in United Kingdom.
Being the only Ugandan in the Awards, the camp has rallied fans to vote for the singer, as this will be an indicator that Uganda’s music industry is on a competing level.
Although he is based in London, George does his music from Uganda with local producers as a way of fulfilling the slogan ‘buy Uganda, support Ugandan, and love Ugandan music’.
He is among those musicians who have had an influence on playing Ugandan music abroad.In the category where George has been nominated as Best Vocal artiste, he an artiste believed to have been nominated on legion of honor and performance because of his soothing genres, done in various voices both the husky, hard and soft.
This probably accounts for his nomination in the latter category.George wildive has done various hit songs both aboard and home and among them includes: Wansi w’omuti, yo body, Mbalina featuring D.J Shiru and Rhoda k, Banoonya ani and his latest is dubbed you me shuga.
Soon after he knew of it that he has been nominated, the multi-talented singer has rallied fans to cast vote for him and bring home the accolade. George Wildive will soon come back for a video shoot of his latest single titled: You Me Shuga
