Miss Uganda foundation together with MTN Uganda finally cleared the air and announced Bronnie Divine Kusiima as the Miss Pulse 2019 at an event that happened on Friday at Sheraton hotel Kampala.
This follows after a technical error occurred in in the tabulation of the results of Miss Pulse/Popularity category that saw Santina Anshemeza awarded the title of Miss Pulse but a communication acknowledging the mistake was made.
The summation of both the app and website votes whose votes were to be tallied in order to determine the winner, Kusiima had a total of 15,971 while Anshemeza had a total of 4,534 though during the announcing, only the Miss Uganda App results were unintentionally considered, thereby making Santina Anshemeza the winner.
Formerly known as Miss Popularity now renamed to ‘Miss MTN Pulse’ the winner is the person who has the highest number of public votes from the voting that happens on the MTN Pulse microsite and on the Miss Uganda app and Bronnie was capable for the award with a total of 15,971 votes.
Bronnie is not only Miss Pulse but also doubles as Miss Sports 2019. She happened to be the youngest contestant in this year’s Miss Uganda pageant.
Bronnie will be joining Makerere University this yet to start semester where she will be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She believes that she will be able to manipulate the two with the help of God. She hopes to be able to give her paramount to everyone who voted for her so as not to let them down.
“The Miss Uganda Organisation would like to apologize to MTN Uganda, the main sponsor, the contestants, and the fans who voted in big numbers, we highly regret the inconvenience caused by Friday’s erroneous announcement.” Brenda Nanyonjo the CEO of Miss Uganda said.
Regardless of the crown, Bronnie received a one-year brand ambassador contract with MTN pulse. to the crown, Bronnie also won Sh2m, a brand new S10 smartphone loaded with 4,500 voice minutes and 30GB data every month for one year including a one-year brand ambassador contract with MTN Pulse.
