Rehearsals for the Bell Jamz All Star concert slated for August 23 are in high gear. However, there is bad news for artistes who mime to their own music at concerts. All artistes have to perform live.
No artiste will be allowed to entertain revellers using pre-recorded music playing from a CD, Swangz Avenue’s content director Julius Kyazze stresses. He says the live performances are meant to give fans a more engaging and fun-filled experience.
“All artistes who will perform are busy rehearsing. We have a band that will play instruments for all of them,” Kyazze revealed.
To prove his point, Kyazze showed videos of Afro-dancehall queen Sheebah Karungi doing rehearsals.
The headlining acts are Jamaican sensations, Chris Martin and DJ Major. They will perform alongside Vinka, Nina Roz, Beenie Gunter, Sheebah, Winnie Nwagi, Fik Fameica and John Blaq.
Tickets go for 25k, early bird, 30k gate pass. The VIP goes for 80k, early bird, 100k gate pass whereas the VVIP ticket will go for 300k.
