Fresh off the success of his new album, Wilmer, Nigerian Reggae-dancehall star Patoranking is set to perform live in Kampala on October 25 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval grounds.
The singer last performed in Uganda in 2015 during his ‘Born to Win’ concert alongside Diamond Platnumz. In June 2019, Patoranking’s team from Nigeria were in Kampala to officially announce the release of his sophomore album, Wilmer where they hinted on his performance in Uganda later in the year.
Born Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie in 1990, Patoranking started his musical career doing underground collaborations. When he released his maiden project “Up in D Club, in 2010, the only way for him has been up.
He took to twitter to confirm the concert. “ Hello Uganda, heard y’all love “enjoyments”.. @evoke and I are cooking up something this October,#whayasay?” he tweeted.
In Uganda, Patoranking is currently riding on a musical anthem, Omu Bwati with Kampala’s Fresh boy Fik Fameica. The song is presently enjoying massive airplay. Fik Fameica will lead a cast of many artistes slated to perform on the night.
“Preparations are in full-gear. We have a number of sponsors and partners in the pipeline, who we will announce soon, alongside the an exhilarating line up of Ugandan artistes. We envisage a massive show,” relayed the curator of Evoke Uganda, Timothy Bukenya.
