Ugandan actor battles in Mr. Africa North America contest

Abraham Titus Muyingo, is battling in a stiff competition for the Mr. Africa North America with five other male counterparts from Kenya, Tanzania, Congo and Nigeria.

The pageant is organised by an American firm, Mister Africa North America. Voting is ongoing. By press time, Muyingo had over 1,500 votes coming after Congo’s Bin Ali Songoro who had 700 more than.

In the information on the Mister Africa North America website, the coronation ceremony of the first ever Mr. Africa North America will go down on September, 21 at the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue, Washington.

Muyingo, 23 is a born to Mariam Kasujja and David Kasujja who went to Taibah International School. At Taibah, he took part in the Music, dance and drama festivities where he got his stage name, ‘Mufasa’ after a great performance in the Disney’s Classic the Lion King.

He is currently pursuing a degree in visual and performing arts at Pierce College. He featured as an actor in Bella (2017), Lead actor in Idi Amin’s boat and as a supporting actor in the Series coffee shop (2016).

Muyingo is the current youth representative in the Ugandan community of the Pacific Northwest and plans to start a youth center that will focus on talent discovery and promotion thereafter.
