Ntare Lions league gets sponsors, changes venue

The Ntare Lions League on Saturday launched its 11th edition at Panamera Bar and restaurant.

The league which brings together old boys of Mbarara based school, Ntare with teams formed on the basis of year of entry is back bigger and better.

The return of the oldest schools league had a couple of developments from attracting two sponsors on board in; Guinness and Jumia not forgetting, the change of venue from Gems Cambridge Butabika to Kings Park in Bweyogerere, the home of rugby giants Black Pirates.

The Lions League President and former cricket cranes captain Davis Karashani promised a better organized season with each outing, out doing the other.

“With support from Guinness and Jumia and other partners, we are going to experience a better league. I have confidence in my team and together, we are to write history. Come on Sunday and celebrate the return of the best schools league in Uganda.”

The 10th edition champions, Nshera FC will start their shield defense against Kisyanga on an action packed day having nine fixtures on the menu.
