It’s a month now since the western King of music, Reagan Muheirwe alias Ray G staged a triumphant concert at the Agip Motel in Mbarara which left many of his fans celebrating his genius talent.
However, the Omusheshe singer sits in a bowl of hot soup nowadays. Ray G and his management are reportedly to have failed to pay back the western music promoters, deejays, bloggers and some radio presenters who have since launched a move not to play any of his songs anywhere anymore for failure to remunerate them after concert.
According to the allegations, Ray G had before his first ever concert promised to pay some money to the people in question who came to a consensus and hyped his show all over, a reason they attach for the concert’s success. He nonetheless selected a few and paid them leaving out others which provoked them into boycotting his music.
This news was first posted in one of the what’s app groups and reaffirmed to Kampala Sun by a source close to Ray G who preferred anonymity that it is true some were paid though others not.
In an interview with the Kampala Sun, a correspondent from Awesome Entertainment first agreed to talk to us but later declined response after an inquiry was paused of this underlying matter. We will keep you posted in case of any developments on this matter.
