The envy between Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata and singer Eddy Kenzo has finally yielded goodies for both the singer and the entire entertainment circuit.
Clamping his accolades, the Bibawo singer smiled from ear to ear as he shook President Museveni’s hand at State House, Entebbe.
“Hi Guys!! Thank you for the hashtag weyayu. The head of state invite me. In recognition of my contribution to the country and Africa at large. What should I tell him?” Kenzo posted on his social media platforms before the meeting.
Adding that the hashtag went viral and this is the reason why he is invited by the president for the meeting.
It all started when Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata allegedly insulted BET award winner and called him a love nigga and Semyekozo during Rema’s traditional marriage ceremony where she introduced her newfound love Hamzah Sebunya to her family and friends.
When a video recording of Sheikh Muzaata insults went viral, Kenzo posted a live rebuttal on his Facebook wall, crying for the whole world and demanding an apology from the sheikh. He also asked for gavumenti’s intervention, accusing the unapologetic sheikh of overlooking his contributions for the Pearl of Africa, Uganda.
After the Museveni meeting, however, senior presidential spokesperson Don Wanyama posted and said the government will offer more support to the artistes.
“Artiste Eddy Kenzo this evening paid a courtesy call on President Museveni at State House, Entebbe. The musician shared the story of his life with the President, who said the government will offer more support to the artistes,” Wanyama posted on his Facebook wall.
