The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has declared Vipers FC as champions of the season 2019/2020 for the 4th time.

This has been announced by the FUFA president Moses Magogo due to the spread of Covid 19 pandemic since at least each club has played 75% of the season.

Vipers clinch the title with 54 points just four points ahead of  second placed KCCA FC.

The cancellation of the league has led to the relegation of Proline FC, Maroons FC and Toro United fc to the big league and perhaps the promotion of MYDA FC, UPDF, to the super league.

Clubs Kataka, Kitaka, Ndejje, Kiboga will first go through playoffs to determine the third placed who will join promoted MYDA and UPDF.

Uganda joins Congo, Angola, Kenya and Ethiopia on the African continent which have called off their leagues due to the spread of pandemic Corona virus that has threatened  the entire globe.

Vipers FC last won the league tittle in the seasons of 2009/2010, 2014/2015, 2017/2018 and 2019/2020.
