The Speaker of Parliament, Honorable Rebecca Kadaga, has asked the Government of Uganda to help and return singer Idrisa Musuza commonly known as Eddy Kenzo.

The Speaker says she received a call from Kenzo on Tuesday and found that the singer is in dire straits and has spent whatever he had.

Kenzo told the Speaker about his inability to come home because flights are not available.

“I would like to call upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, working through our Mission in Abuja, to offer him consular services so that he can be assisted to come home; and to also meet his bills’.

The Speaker further added that she will also inform H.E. the President about this matter so that he can be assisted.

Kenzo’s issue is even worse because he is in a French speaking country.

“Life is not as easy as it would be if he was in an English-speaking country where he could talk with people and get assistance,” she said.

Kenzo got locked down in Ivory Coast a few months back where he had gone to perform with his band.
