According to singer Juliana Kanyomozi, leaving Capital FM is one of the hardest decisions she has ever made. She said that she was comfortable with a guaranteed monthly salary and other benefits, but when the programs directors asked her to choose, she chose music.
“If you are a Sanyu Fm employee, this might be the time for you to rediscover yourself, your other talents. Leaving Capital fm was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make, I was comfortable with a guaranteed salary and other benefits. But my PD at the time asked me to choose btn a music career and a radio job. I chose the former. I did not know what I was going to find out there, in fact I was scared, but I took the leap of faith. Today I am thankful for my growth and independence,” she tweeted.
Now she has advised all the presenters that were fired from Sanyu FM to learn from her – rediscover themselves. “I would not have achieved half of what I have if I had chosen the “safety” of being employed with a salary. A job with a salary is a good thing do not get me wrong. But if you want to achieve bigger, sometimes you have to take that leap of faith.”
Juliana Kanyomozi was one of Capital FM’s most celebrated presenters until the mid-2000s when she quit to do music full time.
