Chameleone summoned by Anti-Corruption Court

On Monday, people woke up to the news that Jose Chameleone had stormed his long time friend Diggy Baur’s studio and thumped him to pulp. Hours later, in was revealed the singer is in more trouble after being summoned by the Chief Magistrate’s Court of Buganda Road attached to anti-corruption division, Kampala to answer charges of being in possession of unaccustomed goods (V8 Land Cruiser).

In the letter, he has been commanded by the Uganda government to appear in the Anti-corruption court at Kololo on July 30, 2020 at 9:00 am or so soon thereafter so the case can be heard.

The case centers around the Landcruiser V8 motor vehicle that the URA enforcement team intercepted around Wakaliga-Bulange Mengo months ago and was asked to avail the documentation regarding the legal status of the vehicle which he promised to avail but failed.

The vehicle’s import duty that has not been paid is valued close to sh140m.
