Vipers in Trouble over Covid-19

Six players are on the verge of missing the Vipers return leg for the CAF Champion League tie with Al-Hilal due to Covid 19 do or die game in Khartoum.

The second leg of the preliminary round is scheduled to take place on December 6 were the Venoms are eagerly waiting for a suprise Storm.

But from worse to worst Vipers won’t be able to spit the venom as there key players will be missing including captain Halid Lwaliwa, Abdul Karim Watambala, Abraham Ndugwa, Geoffrey Wasswa, Milton Kariisa and Livingstone Mulondo who will not  be traveling  with the team after testing positive for COVID-19 in the tests carried out.

Having played the entire 90 minutes at St Mary’s Kitende last Saturday,Lwaliwa, Watambala and Wasswa will entirely be missed .

With big challenge on Fred Kajoba who aims for at least 2-0 win in Sunday’s game if the Venoms are to progress to the next round after losing the first leg at home .

The Fred Kajoba coached side are aiming for at least a 2-0 win in Sunday’s game if they are to make it to the next round after losing 1-0 in the first leg at home together with the COVID-19 disruption leaves the Venoms chances of progression hanging on a thread.

With all hopes of making it to the group stages ,Vipers hopes remain in balance as it was their  ultimate target this season.
