Mufti Menk In Uganda for three-day visit

For the second time, Zimbabwean Ismail ibn Musa Menk and Muslim cleric popularly known as Mufti Menk today touched down in Uganda ahead of a three-day visit. He is in Uganda on an invitation by Pearl of Africa Hotel and the Executive Director, Imnaq Social Development and Dawa.

According to organizers of his visit, aimed at meeting the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council as well as other muftis of Uganda. He will also lay the foundation stone of Musa Islamic Centre and the Charity Iftar plus other many activities including holding a conference.

He is also expected to meet the fountain of honor president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Rwakitura before the Thuraya Ramathan Conference. The first time he was in Uganda he had come to preach unity and peace amongst the Muslim community.

Menk will also tour around different tourist attraction centers in Uganda including the source of the Nile in eastern Uganda. A few years back, Menk was named one of the most influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan because of his big number of followers of over five hundred million.
