“Why do you want to make me cry? Only three days since it has been out…. Thank you my Ykee Empire ….Thank you guys… Let us go for 1000 sales.”
The album that is on his Mpaka Records website is being bought using Mobile Money. The album has the song Banange with Lydia Jazmine that is by the far the most or only popular song, then a redo of Racheal Magoola’s Obangaina and a collabo with Nigeria’s Tekno Miles titled Magic.
The last time a local artiste came out to speak about online album sales, it was rapper GNL early this year who claimed his album, The Spear released in November 2020 made him sh1b off his own website. However, many critics at the time, including fellow artistes said it was an outrageous claim. Why? Rapper Fik Fameica particularly claimed he did not even know the album.
